The Pentair R171016 Rainbow 300 is an automatic off-line bromine/chlorine tablet feeder designed to sanitize large residential and commercial pools easily and efficiently. The R171016 holds 11 large tablets (4.8 lbs.) or 98 small tablets (3.5 lbs.), and treats pools from 12,000 to 48,000 gallons. The Rainbow chemical feeders install on the pressure side of the pump, downstream from the filter and heater. The off-line 300 series is freestanding and is ideal for retrofitting existing pools for automatic sanitization. It features an external control valve that allows you to adjust the feed rate to meet your specific requirements, and requires no special venting. Requires the use of slow dissolving trichlor or bromine tablets only, and also requires 22-1/4" service clearance. Uses 1/4" feeder hoses, control valve and fittings. Maximum operating pressure of 50 PSI. NSF certified.
