Product DescriptionThe Pentair IntelliChlor 520555 IC-40 automatic salt chlorinator uses common table salt to safely and effectively produce all the chlorine your pool needs. The IC-40 produces up to 1.40 pounds of chlorine every 24 hours, and is used for smaller pools up to 40,000 gallons. Dissolved salt is converted into fresh, pure chlorine as it passes through the generator cell. The chlorine is then distributed throughout the pool, sanitizing the water and keeping it fresh, safe and crystal clear. Push-button operation and easy to view displays on the cell enable fast checking of salt levels, cell cleanliness, sanitizer output and water flow. The chlorine generator keeps itself clean with an automatic reverse cycling feature that prevents scale build-up, prolonging the life of the cell. Additional features include an automatic shut-off under low water temperature conditions, and full diagnostic capabilities, including cell life tracking. The IntelliChlor Power Center (part# 520556, sold separately) is required to operate the IntelliChlor Salt Chlorinator. Rated for 10,000 hours of operation - five years of reliable chlorine output under normal operating conditions. The IntelliChlor salt generator is a Pentair Eco Select Brand Product.
