The Pentair Tagelus 144126 TA-40D top mount sand filter has been an industry leader for years. It is equipped with a versatile 6-way, clamp style top-mounted multiport valve. Specs of the TA 40D: 1.8 sq ft effective filtration area, flow rate of 40 GPM, 175 lbs. of sand required. Sand filters are simple, effective, and require very little attention, other than an occasional backwashing. All Tagelus sand filters have a one-piece, almond colored fiberglass reinforced tank with superior strength and durability. The special lateral design provides superior flow and long filter cycles for economical operation. Maximum operating pressure of 50 psi. The TA 40D requires 47 inches of vertical clearance to remove valve & internal piping. Dimensions account for included filter base.
